Yesteryear
Models’ website can be used as our Product Catalog. Products
are divided into two categories - HO or N scale. You can browse
within each category by clicking on the appropriate links,
or view our entire product list by clicking on the Store button
then Product List button. Each product item has a one-line
description next to the thumbnail photo. Click on the item
description to get more detail and a larger photo of the product.
Most items
listed under Product List are available for immediate sale
and shipment. If a product listed has a "Reserve One
Now" button then that item is not currently in stock
but can be reserved and sent at a future date. Estimated delivery
time will be listed in each item’s detail information. Your
credit card will NEVER be charged for any item until that
item is shipped to you.
If you locate
the product you want, and you want to order online, click
on "Add to Basket" after selecting any options for
the product (like road number, for example).
When you check
out using the shopping basket, you may select payment type
from these options: secure on-line payment (look for the little
padlock symbol at the bottom of your screen) or credit card
payment via phone. DO NOT SEND CREDIT CARD INFORMATION VIA E-MAIL!
All transactions
receive a receipt. Online sales receive an automatic bounce
back confirmation email message with order number and sales
total. Phone sales also receive a hard-copy receipt in the
box and confirmation given over the phone. All orders receive
a hard-copy receipt included in the package.
As soon as
we receive your order we will begin processing. Most
orders are filled within 5 business days or less.

Yesteryear
Models would like to encourage customers to use Fed Ex for easy
tracking and automatic insurance. The cost for small orders
shipped to residential addresses is a bit higher than USPS
but the ability to track the order and the built-in insurance
is worth the extra expense. Small items are easily shipped
through the U.S. Postal Service. Expedited shipments can be
sent via Fed Ex with a street address and phone number or USPS
at the request and expense of the customer. International
shipments are via U.S. Postal Service, insured. Canadian orders
may use USPS or Fed Ex, at the choice and expense of the customer.
International
orders: We are able to ship to most countries overseas, but
reserve the right to decline the sale of any international
order depending on the world situation at the time. Please
note that you are responsible for paying any customs or other
fees upon receipt of merchandise. If you refuse to pay these
fees and return the shipment to us, you are responsible for
any return shipping costs and fees incurred by Yesteryear
Models.
For international orders and for large or heavy items,
actual freight applies. We'll contact you (via e-mail or phone)
with the cost of shipping if a shipping cost is different
than that issued on your order confirmation. The shipping
cost could change due to customer-added services such as insurance
or if the website software incorrectly calculates the charges.
Yesteryear
Models offers personalized service, so you can be sure that
a real, live, knowledgeable person is monitoring your order
for accuracy. Each order is reviewed before processing. If
we have any questions or corrections, we'll contact you prior
to processing payment.
We use only
the highest levels of security available on-line today. Yesteryear
Models uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, combined
with other measures to ensure that your information stays
private. Our site uses Verisign certification to ensure
the best security.
To be sure
that you're protected, look for the gold padlock at the bottom
of your screen when ordering.
Using our shopping
cart system, you can be assured that your purchase is as safe
(if not more!) than if you hand a clerk your credit card across
the counter.
Yesteryear
Models will not transmit your credit card information via
e-mail (and neither should YOU), and will never ask you to
send your number to us via e-mail. Beware of anyone who asks
you for a credit card number via e-mail!
Yesteryear
Models’ website is secure and we do not sell, rent, or loan
out any of your personal information to other companies for
any reason. Yesteryear Models may occasionally send you a
postcard or newsletter featuring special sales or new product
updates for Yesteryear products, but if you do not wish to
receive these mailings please let us know and we will remove
your name from our mailing list.
We want you
to be satisfied! If your order is not right, let us know
within 10 business days of receipt and we'll correct it and
credit you for the return shipment.
If you aren't
happy with an item you purchased from us, we'll authorize
you to return any stock item in new, unused, saleable condition
within 30 days for a refund, replacement or credit. Returns
must be pre-authorized.
Defective merchandise
will be accepted for return or replacement within 30 days
of purchase, as long as you notify us to authorize a return.
We will credit you for the return shipping cost on defective
items.
Yesteryear
Models wants you to be happy with your purchase so we will
work with you to make sure every shopping experience is a
positive one.
